Youth + Tamariki

Nau mai and welcome to our youth space! Our team is made up of 14 youth leaders, and together we offer three spaces of connection each week for rangatahi (youth) in years 7 - 13. All programs take place at the St Toms lounge, 200 Riddiford Street, every week during term time.

St Toms is part of the wider youth whānau of AYM (Anglican Youth Movement). We connect with other youth groups from around the Lower North Island at camps throughout the year. Have a look below to see which of our weekly space/s might interest you.

If you have any pātai (questions) feel free to contact our key youth leader Morgyn at morgynjakob@gmail.com.

St Tom’s Youth (Intermediate + HIGH SCHOOL Spaces)

We run a two part youth group model most Thursday nights (check the calendar). This looks like:

● 6.30 - 7.30pm: Junior Youth (year 7-10) - ‘Games and Connection’

● 7.30 - 8pm: Shared desert to end Junior Youth and begin Senior Youth

● 8 - 9pm: Senior Youth (year 9-13) - low-key hangs, games, + discussion.

Come enjoy a great time with our amazing team of Bella, Ephraim, Taimana, Matt and Morgyn (pictured) with the help of our tuakana Kiah and Eva. This group is built off of church connections, and sometimes engages in faith based content.

FRIDAY WAFFLES! (Intermediate + High SChool Ages)

We offer free Waffles to all intermediate and high schoolers from 7:30am to 8:30am on Friday mornings. Come grab some kai and a chat - waffles is a great space to start your day and meet new people.
