We are living through a time of profound ecological crisis. We worship a God who loves creation and has formed us to care for and love it too.
Throughout September, we’ll explore what it means to be God’s people in this time — finding language for anxiety, grief and despair, while learning to walk this journey with hope, faith and action.
Across four Sundays in September, as part of our church calendar, Rev Chris and Sophie Silvester, John-Luke Day and Manu Ward will lead us through a sermon series exploring despair and hope, alongside a creation-focused liturgy each week.
The series will also include two special midweek gatherings:
Wednesday 9 September, 7pm (TBC) — Creation Care Panel
Hear from four local eco heroes — Laurie Foon, Kate Day, Mika/Anya Hervel and Frances Mountier — as they share what drives them and what practical action for creation can look like. Hosted by John-Luke Day.
Monday 21 September, 7pm (TBC) — Lament & Prayer
A space to bring our grief, anxiety and longing for change before God — through lament, prayer and petition. Led by Sophie, Chris and Manu.
All are welcome, and we’d love you to invite others to join us.
