Last year’s Matariki “love bomb” was a beautiful moment—our community gathered (on the school run) to weave stars, share soup, and connect with neighbours and passers-by in a relaxed, joy-filled atmosphere. This year, we’re excited to do it again!
Join us Friday 10 July, in the Newtown Chapel courtyard, for a family friendly afternoon of simple creativity and connection. We’ll be making Matariki stars, sharing hot soup and warm drinks, and offering space for kōrero as we celebrate this special time of reflection, gratitude, and renewal.
Whether you live locally or are just walking by, come weave a star, meet a neighbour, and be part of a moment of community warmth and aroha.
